Respite Care of San Antonio (RCSA) provides specialized care for children with disabilities and complex medical conditions, such as congenital birth defects (including spina bifida, Down syndrome, and heart defects), neonatal abstinence syndrome, fetal drug syndrome, abusive head trauma, cerebral palsy, and autism.

Many of these children are unable to attend traditional childcare programs due to their medical needs. Without childcare, children may miss out on important developmental milestones, and parents often struggle to balance caregiving with work and financial stability. At RCSA, siblings are also welcome to attend, allowing families to keep their children together in a supportive environment.

We are the only organization in Texas offering both inclusive childcare and state-licensed residential homes designed specifically for children with complex medical conditions. With on-site nursing, therapy, and experienced caregivers, we create a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow, thrive, and feel at home, and where families find support and peace of mind.
